The energy of Grace is moving exponentially, catalyzing a magnitude of change in our world so great it’s incomprehensible. For most of this year we’ve been jumping an octave or two each month. Now we’re jumping an octave every few days. No wonder it’s so intense!
While change is exciting, it can also elicit many fears such as, “I might lose myself, my life, my reality.” Change doesn’t mean net loss and we don’t lose ourselves as the old structures are crumbling. We actually gain more of who we are as we dare to live beyond our images, demands and expectations.
We can scare ourselves with our ideas about change but it’s an ally and friend. What’s threatening about change is that we actually change. We don’t finally just get back to normal. In change, which goes on forever, there is no normal. There is beautiful chaos, which is a vital part of change.
When we have the courage to lean into change, we are uplifted. When we are afraid of losing control, we dig in our heels, resist, numb out, collapse, or act on top of our fear. In such cases we feel pain. When we are willing to include our fear as a natural part of expansion, we can step forward and courageously keep opening while feeling afraid. That courage empowers us.
The courage to change takes us deeper into our own being. In experiencing, we don’t limit ourselves. We experience the expansiveness of who we are in each moment and who we are becoming. Then we are in alignment with the grace of change and can live from peaceful acceptance, realness and freedom.
